Since 1994 I have been an eyeOpener trained volunteer guide at the British Museum (www.britishmuseum.org). The eyeOpener tours are designed to introduce visitors to different parts of the Museum. Once a month I lead guided tours of the Greek Galleries and Mediaeval Galleries. Check Events & Courses for upcoming tours.

The Enlightenment and the British Museum

At the end of 2011 I completed the training at the British Museum for tours of the Enlightenment Gallery which are available for members of the public to book at their own convenience for groups of up to 25 people at £9 per head for an hour’s dedocated tour.  My first two tours are in April and May 2012.

I have also agreed to run a day class at the City Lit in November 2012 which will extend the tour to cover more background information and visit other galleries in the Museum where objects aquired during the period will be examined.
